SANMICAHZ'S PURE COLLECTION

Sanmicahz is an emerging Ghanaian fashion brand started in 2012 by Sandra Micah.
Sandra realised her love and passion for sketching and imagining clothes and enrolled in the Vogue Style School of Fashion and Design now known as the Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design to learn more about patterns, dress making and fashion illustration.
After school, she travelled to south Africa to learn more and also worked with a fashion house. After gaining some experience she started to work on her own, making clothes for her clients, showcasing at fashion shows as well as pageant shows.
She later came back to Ghana to fully establish herself.
The Sanmicahz Brand caters for the everyday woman, the stylish, glamorous and the corporate woman.
Her new collection is "The Pure Collection" and was inspired by current colour trends which is the black and white, she used mainly white fabrics which symbolizes purity.
The new collection is "purely sexy", Need I say more?
Sanmicahz is definitely a fashion brand to watch.
Enjoy the new collection........

FIVE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT MATERNAL HEALTH AND MORTALITY

1. It is a priority and an issue of global concern, that is why it states in the Millenium Development Goals No. 5 "Improve Maternal Health".

2. The major direct causes of maternal morbidity and mortality include haemorrhage, infection, high blood pressure, unsafe abortion, and obstructed labour.

3. The lack of maternal health care violates women's rights to life life, health, equality and non-discrimination.

4.99% of all maternal deaths occur in developing countries, with sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia accounting for 57% and 30% of all deaths respectively.

5. Maternal mortality is a health indicator that shows very wide gaps between rich and poor, both between countries and within countries.

THE BEST MOTHER'S DAY GIFT EVER

 MOTHERS!!!!
No set of words can ever be used to describe them. Not that there aren't bad ones (that would be a fallacy), but on the whole, most of us won't be where we are now if it had not been for our mothers.
Whether biological or not there has been that woman who has taught you everything you know and and still continues to support and love you,if you're lucky you can have more than one; Grandma, Aunties, God-mothers and so on.

Funny enough I missed Grandma today.
Grandma wasn't my buddy buddy, Actually she and Grandpa seemed to be in a competition of some sort over me. While Grandpa spoilt me rotten, Grandma made sure I did the right thing, whether i cried or not and pamper me later on. I didn't understand why she was so stern and didn't spoil me all the time like Grandpa did, but now that I know better, I know she gave me the balance i needed to be a complete human being. She left us all while I was still a child and I didn't get an opportunity to say a proper Thank You to her. I miss you Grandma and I LOVE you very much, thank You for everything you taught me.

Now onto our BEST Mother's Day gift; There are so many gift ideas for Mothers from Jewellery to fabric,t flowers to a spa treatment, to doing their chores and even a dinner date, there could also be that special weekend getaway just for mummy. There are so many little and big ways to surprise her and make her feel special on Mother's Day, but in reality a mother wants something very SIMPLE.

All every Mother wants is to see their child be the best that they can ever be, to be someone of honour and prestige;to take in every good thing they have taught them and be a hardworking and responsible adult. They would rather stay at home and say that's my "child", they simply want you to be better than them.. She would rather love a cake you baked with your little resources than a Range Rover you bought with stolen money.

One thing we might not realise is that mothers get insecure sometimes, they often wonder if they are doing it right, and it's our job to let them know how much they mean to us and appreciate their efforts.
If you're lucky enough and your mother is alive today, she'd appreciate your "Thank You Mum", "I Know you love me " , " I admire you" because there are a lot more people out there who wished their mum's were here to hear them say this.

Even if your mother isn't alive today, you can still give her the BEST GIFT EVER; work hard and never give up, be the best that you can ever be and I'm sure that will make her smile wherever she is now.
A HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY TO ALL WOMEN

BLAME ME!!!

For a while now now I've been trying to put down some words for what's been going through my mind, I never found the right words, nothing I put down could better put across what I wanted to express. But just as a single song could sum up your whole life or explain your situation in a way not even you can, I came across this poem that said it all
for me. Maybe you can relate to it too or maybe not, It's worth a read. Thank me later :D

Written by Word Maker

{ for anyone who feels the same}
This  life goes on.
this life that was deemed to be blessed
cut short at the neck

I understand that there were problems
many of them ignored
you suffered, even though you did not show
until the cup was filled full and did overflow
and now...life goes on separately

put the blame on me
i closed my eyes and shut my ears.
I built my ego like the wall of China
and I became the reason for your pain and anguish
but you can put the blame on me

blame me for your sleepless nights and the tears you cried.
sorry that i tore your affection to bits with the words i said
and with the words i failed to say.
i will take the blame for all the nights we quarreled
for all the days we just shut each other up with silence.
I am responsible for the heartache and headache.
the days when you thought I was just impossible

I was impossible.
Impossible with my words, with my feelings,
so impossible with my intellect.
It hurt you even though you showed no sign.
And they crept into the crevices of your cracked heart.
Its a shame on me that I am the reason for your pain.
So put the blame on me.

blame me for the fact that I was a jerk.
A silly man with unrealistic dreams and passions.
I turned you into me and blamed you for it.
I turned your thoughts into pulp and still saw no wrong in it.
but now I take all the blame
for what i have done and didn't do.

Sorry it has taken me this long to speak
to speak of all the embarrassment you felt,
that i made you feel superior in your inferiority
and built a great castle in the air.
I take all the blame from you
I will not blame you for your uncertainty,
neither will I blame you for your bravery; my cowardice.

So please free you thoughts of me.
Rinse me out of your heart and hang me to dry.
Flip away the good days gone, how fleeting
and its stead put a crown of blame on my head.
For i know, that even if we both have been at fault
I will feel far better to take all the blame.
Not a notch of blotch to be found on you.
