This collection is inspired by a Cameroonian slang 'ova' which means bigger and noble person. And Tété which refers to chic and bourgeois.
In addition, the word chic here is used to describe the amazing and modern appearance of the clothings. Therefore those who have good taste and know how to dress well are characterized as chic.
Noble and quality materials were used in this collection, including first choice wax (African print) from Senegal or Mali.
According to the designer, the collection is between 5 to 10 years ahead in fashion. I will say this collection is indecent, 10 years in advance or shameless 5 years in advance. “I prefer being ahead because the fashion world is in constant évolutions.”
I love this simple mini dress by ModaBertha, it is the perfect kind of outfit .
You can easily dress it down as a casual/day or shopping dress, and you can also dress it up for a more elegant or evening occasion.
In this post I kept it somewhere between casual and dressy. It's yours to have fun and play with.
Chasing after the wind is what a friend of mine calls the Pursuit of Happiness. " It is not a destination" he insists. But I think it can be a destination you intentionally choose everyday.
Some days can be so hard :(
Ever experienced anxiety for days?
There are days you're too afraid to do anything, you can't even find the strength to think. It can get so frustrating that you just blur it all out . It feels better that way, when you do absolutely nothing, only existing.
You can't always control what happens to you but you can to an extent control how you react to situations.
Because when you finally break free from all that holds you captive, you'll realize that happiness is not the absence of problems but the ability to appreciate the little things that make life worthwhile.
It is easier said than done, but nothing beats the HAPPY DAYS , you're at peace , you're hopeful and you glow.
Alikoto Clothing is proud to announce the release of its new collection: The Funkified Collection.
Since its inception, Alikoto Clothing has created unique designs year after year, and has birthed modern designs infused with traditional elements.
This collection is inspired by Generation Y: their zeal, their love for self, their sheer creativity and can do spirit. From the Fra bowtie; a bowtie that encourages you to keep trying until you get the perfect mixture for success, to the Defiance bowtie; one that refuses to be boxed into one trait, to the Kaafe buulu bowtie; inspired by all the young entrepreneurs in Accra and beyond, working hard and smart to achieve greatness. “Accra we dey, make you no slack”.
The Funkified Collection is an excellent collection by all standards.

Like it's often said, you never know the worth of a moment till it becomes a memory.
There are so many precious moments we experience daily that are actually a luxury, and most of the time we get so used to them that they hold no charm for us and we take them for granted.
It was really exciting to be selected with some other talented female bloggers to be part of the #LittleLuxuryMoments Social Media Campaign by Pz Cussons , leading to the relaunch/rebranding of Imperial Leather range of products.
Imperial Leather especially the soap, has been around for as long as I can remember and I'm sure most of us are quite familiar with the brand, the Rebrand and social media campaign was to introduce the new improved products to the Ghanaian market and also start a conversation about what luxury meant to different people.
This thought provoking campaign got me thinking about what really luxury was.
Does it have to be expensive to be classified a luxury?
Is luxury rare and reserved for a selected/privileged few?
What does Luxury mean to you.
What is Luxury?
I got to try out both the old and new Imperial Leather products and I must admit I love the Citrus Burst Refreshing Shower Gel, it has lime oil and kiwi extract and leaves me feeling so refreshed . And the Japanese Spa Nourishing Shower Cream is everything , it smells so good and makes taking a shower so much fun.
Another product I love is the Imperial Leather Body Lotion, it is non-greasy and keeps my skin moisturised , my usual Sheabutter got some competition now :-) .
It was an amazing experience being part of this campaign and looking forward to future projects.
I appreciate the support I receive from you guys daily, and one lucky follower on our Instagram will receive some Imperial Leather products. Here's how to WIN;
1. Follow @Lauries_blog on Instagram
2. Tell us what luxury means to you by commenting on the Instagram post about the giveaway.
This young designer keeps getting better and we are loving this new collection of his.
You can get any of these at Elle Lokko 08 retail shop.
Jermaine had this to say about his new collection;
"With this
capsule I was thinking, who is the Bleu girl? Who do I want wearing my
clothes? And the answer is YOU. The Bleu girl is basically everybody
with style. If you've got style then we have something for you in this
collection. This is by far one of our most eclectic collection yet,
designed to bring out the Bleu girl in you.
