THE CSF SHOW 2016 BY FUSION ARTISTRY

Skybar25 celebrated Fashion during this Christmas Season, every weekend of December the bar/restaurant hosted a Creative Fashion Show in collaboration with Fusion Artistry Agency and with the exceptional support of Belvedere.

For the first time in Accra, one of the most dynamic city of Africa, a Fashion Show moved from it’s classic presentation on the runway to a rooftop overlooking the beautiful city.

Skybar25 offers a breathtaking view on Accra and is the perfect place to experience luxurious quality time with family and friends during this season of gathering and joy.

An unprecedented Creative Fashion Show was imagined by Fusion Artistry’s creative team and models performed their art enhancing the talent of the designers.

The CSF Show transformed Skybar25 rooftop into a Stellar Fashion Party. Annesi Bespoke, one of the leading fashion powerhouse in Ghana, opened the floor with their Back To Basics collection in a Play Choreography show followed by a Random Pick show.

Adjoa Des Bordes, the Parisian Luxury Fashion brand, closed with an All White Bubbles show and introduced a minimalistic and clever contemporary collection.

Since Christmas is all about presents, out of a gift box, Myth House the accessories designer from Ghana showcased a collection of beautiful rustic purses that took the crowd to cloud nine as a couple tied the knot in a spectacular moment of love.

Fusion Artistry would like to express their gratitude to the entire production team who made the show memorable : Nick and the Skybar25 team; Jane; Henry; Angela; Mide; Sedinam; Bella Beauty; Fabio; DJ Orstin; DJ Nikkie; the models and the designers.

DAY 1 OSEI - DURO : 59 DAYS OF GHANAIAN FASHION

Hey Beauties, today is the first day of the campaign and we spotlight Osei-Duro.

This brand although not owned by a Ghanaian is based in Accra,Ghana and Los Angeles. They also produce some of their textiles and garments in Ghana using traditional methods such as hand dyeing and weaving.

Through sustainable means, this brand aims at supporting the local apparel industries on both small and large scales.

With a Vogue feature and a showcase at New York Fashion Week as some of their achievements, this brand is as original as they come and their local Ghanaian name "Osei-Duro" is one of the many reasons why I had to make them part of this campaign.

59 DAYS OF GHANAIAN FASHION: THE UNVEIL

Hello Fab Beauties,

In the months of January and February 2017, my blog will run a special campaign to highlight the works of 59 Ghanaian Fashion Designers (both clothing and accessories), dubbed “59 Days of Ghanaian Fashion”.

This campaign seeks to bring to the limelight, talented emerging and established designers who are contributing to Ghana’s budding fashion industry, help boost their online presence and also create an exciting buzz about Ghanaian fashion.

In the lead up to Ghana's historic 60th anniversary, I will shoot one signature piece per designer, after which a blog post with all the details about the brand/designer will be put up.
There will be 59 posts in all. “59” symbolizes Ghana’s 59 years of independence.

Locations were chosen because they are picturesque and have some significance to Ghana’s rich history.

I am so thankful to the designers, photographers, makeup artists and stylists I am working with on this project.

And to you my most amazing readers, thank you for your constant support and love. I appreciate it.

I wish you all a fantastic new year and i hope you enjoy this campaign.

Love, Laurie.

THIS CHRISTMAS WITH CINDY RICE

Hey guys , it's been a minute!
I have been running around trying to get set for #59DaysOfGhanaianFashion, and let's just say we are almost set to roll.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas filled with lots of love and laughter.
I spent Christmas this year at my girl Gifty's house.

Her family hosts a party every Christmas and yes i was there.
As an upcoming foodie i just had to be where there was going to be lots of food.

I got there early to help them prepare the food and set up before guests arrived.
On the menu was Beef Jollof rice(Ghana Jollof) , Rice Arome with Chicken sauce and many local dishes you can think of.

I just want to let you in on a little secret i learnt, we used Cindy Rice for all the rice dishes, and guests in a typical Ghanaian fashion took some of the rice home. It was their family secret, well not anymore :-) .

Apparently they have been using it for sometime now.
The rice tasted so good and cooked perfectly, If it is a rice meal, then it has to be Cindy Rice, they won me over .

Send some Rice recipes my way as i am all excited about cooking with Cindy Rice.

What have you been up to this Christmas?
Let me know.
